To Whom It May Concern:

For the last two years, I have had to have my aging parents in adult foster care.  I tried to take care of them myself, but falls and unsupervised home stay when my mom was suffering from dementia made it too difficult.  I moved them to assisted living, but after my mom fell and had to have a hip replacement, I knew I needed more help.  After searching for a solution, I found the name Peaceful Lighthouse.  It sounded like a caring, quiet place, but there are so many adult foster homes, so I was skeptical.  Lidia Covaci runs Peaceful Lighthouse, and in our first meeting I discovered she was extremely honest and open about the life of a client in adult foster care.  Her character and integrity made me feel that I could leave my parents in her care.  Over the 2 years, my mom has declined and is in the process of leaving this world.  Lidia has been there to pray for her, and spend the time giving her individual attention.  She has modified the diet and how she feeds my mom; even taken the effort to blend a regular balanced meal and slowly feed her when my mom couldn’t feed herself anymore.
I never had any concerns about safety, cleanliness, or attention.  The food I have seen is excellent and nutritious and the caregivers attentive and detailed.  The home is spacious, with décor that makes the clients feel they are at home, and not like a nursing home or hospital.  Flowers in the yard, a sunny deck in the spring and summer, and a peaceful, comforting environment for my mom and dad.  I could not have asked for any place better for the parents I love.
Sincerely,

Brian Vroom
